Introduction to discipline
Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences (MACS) is a biennial discipline (10th and 11th years) taught in Secondary Education, in the Language and Humanities course; their frequency may imply a national examination.
Its usefulness is essential as preparation for any social science course at the level of higher education since it provides bases for any type of research from multivariate data, nowadays indispensable in any course of this category.
The discipline also provides a wide range of essential knowledge that is part of daily life: elections, taxes, interest, loans, the definition of ideal courses, among others.
It is perfectly suited for students of the humanities, since it focuses on the critical analysis of various situations and their practical application, is done largely through the elaboration of written comments.
